Luke immediately posted his version on his own social media and Ed Sheeran watched it! Luke then attended an Ed Sheeran concert on August 25th 2021 at the HMV 100th anniversary show at HMV Empire in Coventry. Ed spotted Luke in the crowd, pointed to him and said: “SO I uhhh, so I released a song at Christmas . By the way I thoroughly enjoyed your cover, I thought it was wonderful. ”Ed then explained to the audience …”I was like - I saw, this guy did an amazing cover of this song. In actually, when I watched it, was like ahh man he kinda sings it better than I do. But anyway, I really liked it - it was beautiful.” A fitting tribute to the talented upcoming Songwriter, Luke Gittins. See and listen to more Regent Sound Songwriter Luke Gittins below.
